County boards, providers deemed essential; Board operations to continue during stay-at-home order
In a "stay-at-home" order issued Sunday, Governor Mike DeWine mandated the statewide closure of all non-essential businesses and the suspension of all non-essential travel until Monday, April 6, to slow the spread of COVID-19. The order takes effect at midnight tonight 3/23/2020.
The order is not expected to have a material impact on county boards or DD service providers, which have been deemed essential to carrying out government functions and human services. The governor's order (linked below) permits county board and provider staff to work and travel to the extent required to deliver services and carry out prescribed government functions. As such, county boards of DD and service providers shall continue to operate for the duration of this order.
