Congratulations to Kennedy's Bakery for being our very FIRST Community Partner Award winner!!!
The Guernsey County of Developmental Disabilities’, Young Adult Self-Determination group met this month to tour Kennedy’s Bakery and learn about potential job opportunities.
The owners of Kennedy’s Bakery went above and beyond with the group of young individuals to make their experience memorable. With a tour of their facility (and free cookies) the group learned all about the history of the bakery and how different fan favorites are made.
As part of the tour, staff at Kennedy’s allowed individuals to create their own cupcakes. They even showed how they make the famous cakes and beautiful roses.
Kennedy's Bakery of Downtown Cambridge, has been awarded the Community Partner Award from the Guernsey County Board of Developmental Disabilities for their compassion and dedication to helping individual with a developmental disability.
After all the sugary confections, the group traveled over to Downtown Arena for lunch and a few games of pool.
The Young Adult Self-Determination group focuses on job opportunities in their community as well as creating lasting friendships.
