Here at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Health Solutions (CRBHS), we are committed to enriching the lives of individuals and families throughout Central and Southeastern Ohio. Our highly-qualified and caring therapists are dedicated to providing each individual we serve with the best possible opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

Unlike many other outpatient behavioral health providers who commonly rely upon traditional office-based therapy, CRBHS also delivers services within the community to best meet the unique needs of our clients. Acknowledging the environmental influences on emotional and behavioral development, CRBHS therapists offer services in the comfort of your own home, or the convenience of your child’s school while ensuring that privacy and confidentiality are maintained.

Individuals who suffer from substance abuse, emotional, or behavioral problems have needs that are specific and unique in nature. The professionals at CRBHS work with each family to develop a customized treatment program catered to meet these needs by providing: Mental Health Assessments; AoD (Alcohol or other Drug) Assessments; Independent Living Skills Assessments; Comprehensive Treatment Planning; Individual, Group, and Family Therapy; Crisis Support; Parenting Support; and Case Management / Coordination.

Problems that many of our clients face on a day-to-day basis that require our attention include: Low Self-Esteem, Depression, Attention Difficulties, Hyperactivity, Classroom Defiance, Skipping School, School Work Deterioration, Suspension or Expulsion, Victims or Perpetrators of Bullying, Victims or Witnesses of Trauma, Survivors of the Loss of a Parent, Children/Teens of Divorced Parents, Self-Harming, Easily Irritated, Running Away, and Substance Abuse to name a few. If you or loved one experience any of these symptoms or any other emotional/behavioral issues, contact CRBHS today to speak to a professional.

Center for Disability Services
175 South Williams Street
Newark, OH 43055
(740) 344-2995

Center for Disability Services traces its history to a group of parents and concerned citizens who joined together to work to improve the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities. Katie Carter was the visionary parent who, in 1949, encouraged other parents of children with disabilities to join together. She insisted that there must be an opportunity to train and educate these young people. This group of determined parents approached Newark City Schools for classroom space. Our founding families and supportive citizens, became incorporated in April of 1953 as the Council for Retarded Children.

Today, we are known as Center for Disability Services. Though we have had name changes over the years, we remain dedicated to improving the lives of infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities, and supporting their families.  Center for Disability Services currently offers programs and services that support, educate and respect the choices of our neighbors with developmental disabilities.
